The quintessential theme park is Disneyland Park. Located in Anaheim (California, United States) it was the first park built by The Walt Disney Company, being the only one that was designed and built under the supervision of producer and filmmaker Walt Disney.

This emblematic amusement park opened its doors in July 1955. Just two years after its opening, Disneyland Park surpassed places like the Grand Canyon or Yellowstone National Park in popularity. It has been visited by more than 750 million people since its inauguration until 2020.

Due to its success, other parks were built in areas of the United States such as the Magic Kingdom in Florida, and they were also followed in other countries such as Japan, France and China.
